The wick should always be kept small. After igniting the fuse, adjust it again until the flame burns without sooting. No soot is created with the correct wick setting. As soon as the flame becomes smaller, break out the oil lamp, top up and reset the fuse. Do not leave the flamax lamp oil inside to light up in fast places. The oil lamp should not be left unattended. Keep the lamps filled with this liquid out of reach of children. Already a small slick lamp oil – or also just sucking a lamp wick – can lead to life-threatening damage to the lungs. Danger: DE danger. Can be fatal if ingested and penetrated into the respiratory tract. Repeated contact can lead to brittle or cracked skin. If advice is needed, keep the packaging or label at hand.
